I joined Aspen in November of 2007 and I have since lost 118 lbs, 73.5 inches and 20.3% body fat! I did all of this with the help of my personal trainer Laura Brammeier, she has continued to push me when I felt like quitting and she encourages me to keep going and never give up. She has been a true inspiration to me every step of the way. I admit that it has not been easy and I complain ALOT but she has sincerely changed my life. Thank you so much Laura for believing in me, I never could have done it without you!

I’m a wife and mother of 5 very active children. Oldest is 10, youngest are 2 year old twins. Last July I found myself feeling depressed, exhausted all the time, and extremely over weight. I was a whopping 260 lbs.! YIKES! and later found out that my body fat was 42%. My friend Missy had asked me several times to join at Aspen Athletic Clubs with her, and honestly, exercise was the last thing I wanted to do. I wanted a miracle fix to my weight problem.

Anyway, I decided to check it out. I went and took a tour of Aspen, talked to Aaron, who is now my personal trainer, and 3 sessions later I was hooked!

He had, and still has me doing things I never imagined I would be able to do. I’d be lying if I said it’s been easy, it’s hard to eat properly and exercise everyday, but it’s so worth it. It also helps to have a knowledgeable and very mo•tivating personal trainer. Another thing that has been extremely helpful is the bodybugg™ and Apex products. Keeping track of what I eat and what I burn helps tremendously!

I’ve hit a few bumps here and there. I had gall bladder surgery in Feb. 2008 and just recently had another surgery that will keep me down for a short time. And like I said eating properly all the time is really hard.

So, in the past year I have lost 90 lbs. and lowered my body fat 14%. I now weigh 170 lbs. and my body fat is around 28%. I still have 10 more pounds to go before I reach my original goal, but I know I’ll get there. I’ll never be able to thank you (Aaron) enough for everything you’ve done for me. Because of you pushing me to keep going when I didn’t want to anymore, I physically and mentally feel so much better. It’s not as hard to come and work out and see myself in those enormous mirrors anymore. You know how much I love those mirrors! I’ve also had great support from family and friends!

I also want to mention that it made it a lot easier to come to Aspen each day because my kids love coming to the nursery and kids gym. Thanks for taking great care of my kids too!

My name is Peggy Hill, I am 48 years old and it was 16 months ago (February 2006) that I joined Aspen. It is unquestionably the best decision of my life. My original goal was to lose 50 pounds by December 2006, in time for a family cruise and the fact that I was denied health insurance twice.

I started using the bodybugg™ in June 2006 and wish I had it when I started. The bodybugg™ makes it so simple to stay on track and see where you need to make adjustments. This is the best system that I have seen. It’s easy to see what you’re taking in and what you’re expending; that is unless you don’t record everything you’re eating, there’s no way you can fail. It’s fool proof, unless you’re fooling yourself. I have recommended the bodybugg™ to several friends and talk about it as part of my success to everyone.

By mid July 2006 I met my goal of losing 50 pounds and in the process reduced my body fat from 45% to 35.5%. I have never felt so healthy in my life. I have so much more energy and love walking/hiking, when our Midwestern weather permits. Now, 16 months later I am maintaining a weight loss of 65-70 pounds and my body fat is 27%. I’ve lost a total of 54 ¾ inches; about 9 ½ inches off of my abs and hips; 8 ½ inches off of my chest and about 6 inches off my upper arms and thighs. I want to decrease my body fat another 5-7%.

I’ve gone from a women’s size 26 jean (at my very heaviest about 250, a few years prior to joining the club) to currently wearing sizes 12 & 14. WOW, I never ever thought I would see that size, I think I jumped over it the first time because I don’t remember every wearing it.

I’m still getting to the club 3-4 times a week, working on strength training, cardio and taking some of the group classes. I love the spring thru fall seasons so I can get back out walking in the neighborhood and enjoying the trails in the local parks.

I would not have been able to have the success I’ve had without the support of my personal trainer, Gary Rowray. Gary makes working out fun and challenges me to try new things and keeps pushing me to use higher weights. He keeps me motivated and gets as excited about my success as much as I do.
