Is Aspen Athletic Clubs Part Of A Large Health Club Chain?
No, Aspen Athletic Clubs was started 10 years ago by Tony Dahmen, Ival McMains, and Rod Sears. The clubs in Iowa, Oklahoma, and Nebraska are each owned by separate legal entities and operate independently. However, one or more of the founders of Aspen is an owner in these entities.
Is There Reciprocal Usage Between The Aspen Locations In Different States?
Yes. For example, if you are a member of an Aspen club in Omaha, Nebraska you may use the clubs in Des Moines and Oklahoma City for no additional fee. Simply present your keytag at the front desk and let them know what club you are a member. If you are relocating to a different state you will need to transfer your membership to the new location.

Can Aspen Provide Me Receipts For Reimbursement Purposes?
Yes. If you need documentation of your account’s payments or workout history we can provide you with that report, contact your club’s Operations Manager.
What Is The Guest Fee Policy At Aspen Athletic Clubs?
Anyone can utilize our facility on a daily basis for the following fees:
$6/visit plus tax – Massage/Tennis Clinics or Lessons (plus other applicable fees)
$9/day plus tax – Out of Town & with a current member
$12/day plus Tax – Out of Town
$18/visit plus tax – Tennis Leagues/Season Court Subs
What Is The Club Enhancement Fee?
The Club Enhancement Fee is an annual fee that is used to improve the equipment and services provided for the facilities. This fee is collected annually on your January billing.
What Is A Membership “Freeze”?
If you are not able to use the club for a medical reason, temporary move, military or missionary service,
Aspen will place your account on freeze for no charge for up to 1 year. Verification is required to process
the freeze. Your dues will resume at the end of that period unless we receive notification in writing
to extend the freeze period.
A member may choose to go into ”Inactive Freeze” status for a maximum of 6 months because of travel schedules or personal needs. Inactive membership dues will be $9/month for a Single and $18/month for all other memberships.
How Do I Terminate My Membership?
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing either at the club or by certified mail to the club.
Cancellations must be received 10 days prior to your bill date. All past due balances will be collected at the time of cancellation. Please note that non-use of the facility or closing of one’s billing account does not constitute a cancellation.
Month to Month Membership
A month to month membership can be terminated at any time. To prevent additional monthly billing, please notify us 10 days prior to your bill date.
Monthly Term Membership
A Term membership that is paid monthly may not be canceled during the Term Period unless an early termination fee is paid in full at the time of cancellation ($100 for the primary and $50 for each family add-on).
Prepaid Membership
If you do not renew your prepaid Term membership by the renewal date, your prepaid Term membership automatically expires.
What If I Am Moving Out Of The Area?
If you are moving your permanent residence to more than 25 miles from any Aspen Athletic Club, you may be excused from your membership agreement. You MUST provide proof of your new address. Please see your club’s General Manager to process your request.
